“You’re Stupid! Give me Money!”

I’m paraphrasing, but that’s the spirit of this little diatribe about “Five Reasons” Congress won’t put arts-related money into the so-called Stimulus bill.  Here’s one of the those reasons:


“Culture is girlie, not manly.”

There’s some deep thinking for you.  It’s pretty much just an accusation of how lame, wrong and stupid the Congress is.

Far be it from me to argue with that basic premise, but when you’re begging for money, it’s not generally a successful strategy to call the person with the money a bunch of bad names.
