Live Titans Replace Recorded Giants

This isn’t exactly news, but maybe it is to Rolling Stone magazine, where it’s always 1972 until proven otherwise…

The gist of the article, which is well-written, is that Ticketmaster and Live Nation are filling the vacuum created by the vaporizing of the relevance of the record labels.

Well, yes and no.

What it really shows is that the Live Entertainment product is filling the vacuum created by the vaporizing of the value of the recorded product.

Still, RS‘s slow march to an understanding of the Live 2.0 world goes forward, so that’s good.
