Jordan Roth Explains Live Entertainment

The other night, my friend Jordan Roth won a Tony Award for the show that he brought to Broadway when it was facing potentially ending, Clybourne Park.  Of course, he got a chance to make an acceptance speech, and in a compact one minute or so, he did a pretty fair job of explaining why theatre and really all live entertainment is as powerful as it is:

It’s that alchemy of the creators and the audience, brought together in one actual place that makes it all work. Well done, Jordan and well said, too.
